Thursday, May 1 - Do you know what today is? It's National Day of Prayer; the day where we set aside time to pray for our communities, the nation and its leaders. The South Bay/NDP Breakfast will be at the Torrance Marriott, 7:30am - 9:00am and tickets are $25.00 per person/free parking! Look for flyers on the bulletin board or call 310-377-6882.

Monday, May 5 - Start your day with the Men's Breakfast at Billy's Café (it's not just for men). Maybe have some Huevos Rancheros in honor of Cinco de Mayo and the end your day at the United Methodist Women's Board meeting at 7:00pm. Well, that would be for women only.

Tuesday, May 6 - Trustees meet at 7:00pm.

Sunday, May 11 - Pentecost and Mother's Day. Pastor Rick has got something BIG up his sleeve for worship this day.

Saturday, May 17 - UMW Spring Event. Luncheon and Wildlife Bird Program. Tickets are for sale now, adults $8.00, children under 10 years of age, $4.00.

Sunday, June 8 - Graduation Sunday and Youth Banquet. Caroline Dawes is making plans now.

Sunday, June 15 - Last Day of Children's Sunday School.

Tuesday, June 17 - 22. Annual Conference begins in Redlands, CA.

Monday, June 23 - Vacation Bible School (VBS) is here again. Kathy Martens is the one in charge of this.

MAINSAIL GOING GREEN!

It's that time of year again. We're updating our Mainsail subscription list and we want you on it!!
YOU CAN RECEIVE THE MAINSAIL IN TWO WAYS:

You can still receive the regular paper copy of the Mainsail; however, you need to specifically request or “opt in” to receive the paper copy. We are trying to “go green” and save on printing and postage costs. If you want to receive the paper version we are suggesting a donation of $20.00 to meet increased costs such as postage, copier and paper.
Or you can receive the eMainsail via email for FREE. It is the same exact issue, but you'll get the graphics and pictures in color, you can enlarge it to any size on your computer screen and print just the articles you want to save. Also, you'll get it sooner than the paper copy as we send it as soon as it's completed. "eMainsail" results in postage, copying and paper cost savings.

Please fill out the Mainsail Subscription form found
in the last issue (or download it here) and return it to the church office.
